>>42644620It doesn't waste nearly as much of your time as XY and gen 7, and includes a cutscene skip option for replays.
Hop is a better rival than any of the retards in XY and doesn't need a third version to get character development like Hau did.
The story sucks and is unfinished but that was true in XY as well.
The Wild Area is by far the single most innovative addition of the 3D era. It's unpolished like everything else in the game but what's there is pretty good and provides a nice, if mindless, grind.
TR's are literally the best thing to happen to TM's since gen 5. In gen 7 I realized that making TM's permanent meant they couldn't drop powerful moves early on like they used to do because there was no longer a choice to be made about using them. TR's solve that, without having to give up the convenience of permanent TM's. My only complaint is that they didn't distribute any throughout the world; they're only found in raids and from watt vendors.
Speaking of raids, they provide a pretty long post-game grind. It's nowhere near as good as the Battle Frontier but I don't think any of the 3D games had anything better save for maybe the Friend Safari. Crown Tundra's den exploration looks to be even better and just as endless.
It's not a complete experience the same way USUM was but the DLC will fix that. Just wait for the inevitable SwSh + DLC bundle if you don't want to pay $90.
or pirate it, who cares
