Honestly it was the most unown I will probably ever see outside the ruins of alph and the Entei movie.

The move is only 60 BP. No one was legit using that as coverage except for Pokémon with x4 weakness and was even rarer in VGC.

I find it odd that people are saying shit about Hidden Power now. It was literally a non issue and some even say that relying on it for coverage isn’t a good thing

It was never overpowered and I never thought it would be removed.
Now that it's gone and I can't just stick any type I want on a special attacker as a filler move, I realize that we're better off without it.
If it came back but only could be learned by certain pokemon like Toxic I wouldn't mind, but if it's on everything then it's shit.

hidden power was a cheap fix for pokemon with shit movepools to have the opportunity to cover a niche, people are more mad that they did it as an overall movepool rework since it kneecaps weaker pokemon.

Magnezone has been trapping steels with HP Fire since it was introduced. Definitely gone from OU if it's in the DLC.

The mons you're thinking of usually have a useable Special stat, though, like Infernape or Salamence. Not to mention Dracovish would really miss Band or Scarf if you opt to use LO just to take down Toad with it.

But it's not like say, Genesect, in which the speed tier is something you'd have to really worry about. If you're faking a Band, you can't fake a scarf, keeping it open to being revenge killed or the 50/50 switch in for a Rend or another HP Grass.

I merely used Dracovish as an example because being gen 8 it has never had access to Hidden Power and therefore I wouldn't get replies from dumb niggers trying to argue that circumventing Seismitoad in that manner is something that it has been somehow "designed" to be capable of.
