Context, I played every game up to the end of gen 3 and during my teenage years I fell off, then I picked back up when I heard they were remaking R/S so I got a DS and Y. With time to spare I also picked up one game from each series, SS, platinum, White 2. I was hooked again although gen 5 sucked. I played the shit out of ORAS and was dissapointe in SM, and in let's go, and SwSh might be the nail in the coffin, I hate the games, the new mons, the removal of solid functions like the GTS, the game looks like shit, I worked hard to make a living dex and it's stuck in my bank, I can go on for days.
