Traded myself horsea to substitute starter and later traded myself porygon for fun. just got to the pokemon league! Cant decide if I want to evolve em all before or after the league.
who should I add as my 6th member while in kanto? i want a physical attacker thats not weak to fighting but im not sure of what options I have. I know you can get shroomish from the safari zone which i think would round out the team but im not sure how hgss safari zone works to be honest, it seems convoluted for the rarer pokemon like shroomish and beldum which i considered.

I was going to use Raichu, but I've never used Toxicroak before so I made him slot 6. I've actually never used any of these Pokémon besides Torterra before in any Sinnoh run.

I slightly regret not going Glaceon over Espeon. Kind of considering replacing Buizel and Rhydon, but I wanna keep the team mostly Sinnoh and I don't know who to replace them for. Garchomp is an option, but Cynthia already has one.

Well you need a water-type, so Marshtomp is a great pick. Id suggest Octillery though, he's a slow mixed attacker but his movepool is diverse and overall really fun to use especially if you have a item that raises critical hit ratio since Octillery's ability gets 3x the damage.

Yeah, I was leaning towards Swampert/another water mon. The indecision is mostly since I usually use a pseudo in romhacks since I never use them in normal games.
Octillery sounds cool, might go with that.

Top is Platinum Team and bottom is Emerald Team, former is gonna face the league soon and latter is between Flannery and Norman.

Replaying Platinum with that team made me really appreciate the Grass-Type more, since the team has no access to reliable Grass-Type moves.

Heliolisk OR Charizard is what I'd suggest. Wouldn't want to double up on mons that take chop from Solar power. I'd suggest Heliolisk honestly. It has Hyper Voice, Thunderbolt for Pelipper, and I think it got Weather Ball?

You could, but then you run into the problem of having both of your sun setters taking 25% chip from stealth rocks whenever they come in, assumin you play 6v6 singles. Maybe a prankster mon with a Heat Rock, like Liepard or Sableye?
