>>42652551>this thread againIf we're talking about designs, Gen 5 is better. Gen 8 starters basically become more humanoid because they want to be less subtle about their theme, plus make it easier to give them certain moves.
If we're talking about battles and actually fun to use, Gen 8 is better.
Personally, I prefer Gen 8 more because I like Rillaboom and Cinderace, whereas in Gen 5 I only really like Samurott. So yeah, I found Gen 5 the worse starter trio even if they have more animal-like designs.
