Nope, quite the opposite actually. I'm catching up by playing gen 6 and 7 since I never had a 3DS before and I don't spend a lot of time at home to play on a good emulator. Just finished Pokemon Y and actually enjoyed it, especially the random dialog that some NPC's say. Not the hardest game sure, but I was still able to find a lot of enjoyment out of it, especially the idea of customizing your character (I spent a few million already, no regrets) or the idea of Super Training. After playing it with an open mind, I find it difficult to even hate the game, especially to the extend the /vp/ does. I guess don't knock it till you try it.
