>>42656044desu it's pretty unfortunate, I would've love to see Rose Tower take a sort of blend of the natural environment dungeons and the more artificial villain ones. Like a properly realized Aether Foundation where you have the floors being mostly artificial and modern tech but to fully navigate the area the player would need to explore the more natural environments, this could be justified by Chairman Rose keeping some of the rarer Pokemon found in Galar in special habitats that support them while also making the Tower a bit of a visual spectacle for the public.
You could even have some Wild Encounters with Pokemon somewhat less commonly found elsewhere in the game in the tower's biomes. You could also then have it be that part of the maze-like design comes from the elevators being shut off to help contrast it from Silph Co. and instead the player and Hop have to navigate the maintenance areas where it's more claustrophobic and maze-like due to the layout of the gratings, stairwells, etc.
In turn you create a three dimensional maze where the player needs to discern and connect the different maintenance passageways with the main floors, maybe even having the player open up a biome causing water to flow out, using the waterfall created to access a lower floor where the maintenance access leads further up the tower. It's something I'm always disappointed by with the games from XY onwards is that in spite of going 3D they never really capitalize on that.
