DSzoomers only remember Pokemon from their childhood. They haven't accepted the changes of pokemon as it looks too different for what their childhood model was. This breeding the ignorance we see today. Older games seem primitive and not like Pokemon to them.

This also explains why the dexcuts trigger them. DSzoomers have never played a game with less than 400 mons before so they think the games are unplayable.

They still haven't bothered fixing that mess. Just about every Pokemon affected at the time of split now has a higher physical attack stat with a mostly special movepool or vice-versa because they did a half-assed job at it like everything else. They've had four generations to try and adjust stats or movepools, but they never will.

I literally got into this franchise during gen 6, so nostalgia isn't a factor for me. After playing XY I played every other game/gen there was and even a newcomer like me could clearly see that the quality was deteriorating and the newer games were insanely easy and babified in comparison.

XY was arguably the most fun I've had with any Pokemon game, I'm not even joking. But at the same time, I'm aware fun is subjective and I'm not going to let it blind me and pretend the game wasn't riddled with flaws or ignore all its problems just because of said fun but yeah, to me XY was a good ride.
Thing is, gen 7 had all these same problems with the difference that it wasn't even fun to make up for it.

The games have less single player content than they did ten years ago. Literally the only thing that’s worth it is the online and at that point it’s just a glorified battle sim. It’s dumb that there’s this deterioration of single player content when most people probably don’t play competitively online either.

SM is weird for me. On my first play through, I had a really good time and thought it was a good game. But once the honeymoon phase ended, I absolutely dislike and cannot even touch those games anymore. I’ve tried replaying them and they’re just so slow.
