Knock Off & Toxic arent removed, just got smaller distribution.
And somehow, Ferrothorn got both of them. Not that it really uses Toxic but still baffling.
Also competitive feels more boring. People can meme shit like Flareon all they want but then the actual Tournaments are all fat balance teams that revolve around 15 or so mons, and the populace still manages to bring a mon to 40% usage.

That IS a good thing, i'll give you that. Toxic not being on everything really makes a difference when you're up against defensive builds, across all tiers.

More restricted movepools on most pokemon is good and makes games less swingy and decided in teambuilder. It allows for more skill expression in game and more emphasis on scouting instead of educated guesses or changing your team to a counter and hoping to queue into the same guy again.

I disagree with megas. Megas are just fucking cool, even if it compromises balance.

Besides that I like the free xp share mechanic.

Hidden Power being removed. This move was always retarded because it's gated behind archaic, convoluted, grindy mechanics, and letting every special attacker having any coverage of their choice is questionable game design to begin with.
All the QoL changes related to raising competitive Pokemon. You can get a battle ready Pokemon literally within 2 minutes after breeding it now, and it's great.

Megas are cool but I don't want them to come back for the sake of coming back. If megas come back I want it to be because there are a bunch of new ones.

IDC about "regular" mons coming back in the DLC, but I hate how legendaries are coming back which makes no sense
