>>42671611Yeah I did this before the game came out so in essence it's the Snow Tundra idea. The main Wild Area I also split into five distinct environments;
> Badlands (Brown)Not a desert mind you but just a dry environment where a lack of water forms a valley lacking in plant-life, Bug-Type, Ground-Type and Ghost-Type Pokemon would be prevalent and weather would've been Sun and Normal mostly although extremely rarely it does rain causing Water-Types not seen elsewhere in the region like Seismitoad would crop up.
> Mountains (Orange)Despite the colour would be cool mountains, making a feasible location for early Ice-Types, area would also be a bit of a labyrinth making it much more dense in content than the other Wild Areas, weather would be Hail, Fog and Normal and Flying-Type, Rock-Type and Ice-Type Pokemon would appear with rare appearances from Dragon-Types.
> Wetlands (Green)Not just a regular grassland/plains like the actual Wild Area, instead having transient bodies of water resulting in it being dominated by a mixture of Normal-Type, Grass-Type, Water-Type, Poison-Type and Dark-Type Pokemon. Weather would be usually Rain sometimes Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms and only rarely Normal.
> Cliffs (Yellow)Most vertical of the six Wild Areas, idea would be that it's the closest to a plains environment on the East side of things leading up to the cliffs so would have Fire-Type, Normal-Type & Electric-Type around that part, however at the cliffs you'd have a series of vertical ascents and descents (maybe even a complete cave system), that area would be constantly under a Strong Winds weather and would have Rock-Type, Steel-Type, Fighting-Type, Psychic-Type and Flying-Type.
> Coastal (Blue)Much more gravel and large rocks than say Alola's beaches, would have sand but but much colder, maybe even having a few Ice-Types like Dewgong and Eiscue turning up on the beach. Weather could be basically anything, aside from Water-Types might also see Electric-Types.
