Ok. Here goes... I believe Ohmori pushed for the Dex cut to occur. I believe that TPC and Nintendo may have given them an ultimatum of a Dex cut or a delay, but Ohmori wanted a cut. Remember, this is a man who said they spent half a year working on the grass texture, when the games credits sequence was finished in JUNE! The DLC was not however his idea. I think it was it’s directors idea, as he was supposed to be developing Sword and Shields third version. How do I know this? When asked by Gameinformer in October about an “ultra version” with the full Pokédex, Ohmori responded with a very harsh “No Comment”, usually being an quick way of not confirming, which implies a level of truth to it.
Anyways, this message will get lost in a sea of “MISTA MERRIKU BUGGARU IN ANUSU” anyway, even after Masuda departs and Ohmori directs Generation 9, which will absolutely release in 2021 and be much worse than Sword and Shield were.
