Oh boy. Let's have fun.
Full disclosure, while some of these things are actually signs of bad/lazy programming, they also are the small parts of joy I get from these games. Exploits are fun for me.
>Lather, rinse, repeat storytellingLet's be clear, the storytelling in this game could have come from any of the pokemon games. If anything it could easily be called Sun and Moon.
>Dyna/Gigantamax are mega evolutions plus Z-moves.This is just uninspired. They didn't even go through, and make sure each mega evolution got a Gigantamax. Just lazy.
>Anything outside of the wild area was uninspired and of no real challenge.Seriously I remember when we actually had a victory road guys. That didn't happen at all this time around unless they count the tournament, and I personally don't count that.
Now the fun parts that, while fun for me personally, are signs that someone didn't do their job.
>Input a specific day to get specific rare overworld pokemon.I can prove this one, go 6/1/2020. 11:00 PM. Then head to lake of rage. Overworld monsters you will see is, in the actual lake: Male Milotic with marvel scale. You might think this is a one off, but no. It will always be there if you change your time to that date and time. Let you draw your own conclusions, but it means that each rare overworld encounter is scripted.
>Being able to put your date ahead while still in game at the cost of a rank battle. This is unique, as you can complete poke jobs in a flash. Hey, want to increase the chance to get a master ball or 3? Yeah, you can do that too. All at the same time. EV training taking too long? Don't worry, you can do that too while your other pokemon are mass leveling.
