>>42684231On the off chance that you're actually genuinely new and aren't coming off the back of somewhere else, let me explain things to you.
Reddit has very heavy-handed moderation, which alongside having to use an account from which users can check your entire post history, means users have to be very careful what they post at any time, because they either get banned or "attack the poster not the argument" kicks in and they can't get any sense out of anyone.
Now, 4chan(nel) is anonymous and most people just evade if they get banned, and is generally known for a lot of it being an absolute mess.
If you've ever heard of the term "pissing in a pool of piss" then this is how Reddit sees 4chan - it's anonymous and who gives a shit so just do whatever you want because it's not your problem.
So, not only do we get a lot of out-of-the-blue rabid shitposters who misunderstand what 4chan is used for, but they also try to 'fit in' in the process to make it seem not obvious they're just tourists from Reddit who are too scared to use their own website for their unwanted tardbabble. They're shit at doing this though, and it's visible from space everytime. That's where the "outing themselves as a tourist" comes from.
Of course, if you're not just brand new, I've wasted my time. Like I've done for god knows how fucking long anyway so who cares.
