>>42684275I think it’s going to be a Pokémon from one of the later generations, not because it’s the most popular but due to the fact that earlier gems have so many popular moms that the vote might be divided. The Kanto Pokémon have a lot of competition between the likes of the starters, Pikachu, Eevee, three eeveevolutions, Snorlax, Meowth, Gengar, Mewtwo, Mew, etc. Compared to something like Alola or Kalos where there aren’t as many standouts.
That or they decide to take the highest ranked Pokémon from each region either declare them all Pokémon of the Year or do a second poll between Pokémon that did well.
