I like Coromon. Thing about Coromon’s fakemon is that it owns it and just is its own game on steam instead of piggybacking on the pokemon brand to get their original artwork recognized and I respect that. Coromon designs are also generally good.

yes, a basic looking bull with some fire on it and a basic dog with 2 heads are really good designs...

Coromon has a lot going for it but the designs are not one of them, also, the sprites hurt the eyes, you can't make out what most of them actually look like.

I don't understand why so many of these romhacks attempt to make their own Pokemon. A vast majority of fan Pokemon are absolute shit and a vast majority of problems with the official games have nothing to do with aesthetics. Why is it not good enough to simply take from the massive pool of Pokemon already available and provide a wide variety of typings and stats all throughout the game? I care more about being able to throw together any kind of team I want than I do seeing something new.

Most of the designs in those pics look fine, the Vuudu looks underwhelming though, it's the main body. That being said however the environments look pretty basic, I dunno how often the creator's done mapping but you notice how the 3rd, 5th, 8th and 11th pictures have a very grid-like appearance to them, the 1st picture's alright although it's Gen III quality of map layout. They really need to put more time into making the maps look more organic.
