>>42705511>The Unova games some of the very few games in the series that are good JRPGsThis is exactly why they got shit on, because only a vocal minority of ultra-neckbeards play Pokémon for the shitty old Game Boy mechanics and RNG spam grinding. The games on their own are mediocre at best and shitty/shallow on average, and the rest of the fanbase is mostly just in it for the Pokémon and the basic, lazy canvas the games provide on which they can imagine an adventure with their favorites.
Even a lot of the hardcore dextrannies don't seem to realize this fact, they're only butthurt because they can't mindlessly grind as hard as they could in previous games.
