Shame the animators were paid with peanuts. People pissed off they can't play with their favs but when the biggest media franchise pays their animators literal peanuts, nobody gives a shit.

You realized that this is how entire fucking anime industry works? And ultimately besides key animator and director, most people working on anime are doing mundane tasks like coloring and copy-pastying stuff. It's not 80s where cell animation was standard, most people working on animation could easly be replaced with monkeys so yeah they will get literal peanuts.

Wait, the Gyarados dmaxed? They should have kept it normal, so Lance fans could have claimed that Leon only won because of the gmax.

Yeah and when someone says this to you, you'll be blunt about what they can do.

As someone with talent will tell you, being grateful is not enough, this is a full time job, usually and if they are paid peanuts then that's wrong, especially from a media franchise worth millions.

Animators and writers have a hard job, being paid little is fine when starting out, but they need a rising pay structure that rewards loyalty and hard work as time passes, they have a family and they spend all day working on one or more episodes for minimum wage or less.

A lot of animation can be outsourced now, those nips are fucked unless they become highly niche and talented. Their wages have to compete with what flips, poos, gooks and chinks need to make a living, and none of those guys are living in Tokyo.

Leon knew Lance would know his ace was Charizard and he would use a white type, since he has a Gyrados that makes sense. And Leon then counters it using thunder punch doing x4 damage. As long as Charizard can tank a few hits it can wipe the floor with Gyrados. It showed good tactical knowledge.

Animation is always under paid, no matter the genre or the country. These animations are drawing the blurry scenes between actual scenes, they're there as support while they learn the skills for good animation that matters to an episode. They're basically apprenticeships before moving up the ladder.

By following that logic, wouldn't a STAB super effective move would be more effective? Also, I'm pretty sure Gyarados' Intimidate would have cut Charizard's attack and making it tank a bit.

The Dynamax portion of the battle sucked, and the first half was only average. For a battle between two Champions, it was lackluster. Ash has had better battles than that against rivals and Gym Leaders and even random league opponents.
