Unova had a ton of Sinnoh connections right down to the legendary locations such as the Cave of Being and it's deepest floor leading to Sinnoh, Regigigas' Chambers and Reversal Mountain being so similar to Stark Mountain. There's also Sinnoh characters like Caitlin and her being Unova's Elite 4, Looker, Cynthia, the Sinnoh Gym Leaders(with Crasher Wake appearing in a route and singing), Ex-Team Galactic member, etc. Even one of the route themes in a homage to Prof. Rowan's theme. Unova and Sinnoh are tighty bonded, and I feel like the only reason why others would try to exclude Unova out of the DS Era Greatness is because Unova's a low hanging fruit for both 3Ds/Switch players and GBA players to vent their insecurities on. That's ultimately why Gen Tribalism is fucking cancer.
