>>42727488>There's nothing stopping a wild gen 1 mon from meeting the DV requirements to be shiny in gen 2.there literally is. some DV combos couldn't be generated by wild field encounters in gen 1. the only gen 1 encounters that could produce DVs that translate to a shiny were static encounters, fishing, and i think gift mons
random things you run into in the grass, caves or sea will never have shiny DVs
