>Streamlined teambuildingAt the cost of being able to walk around friend areas and see your recruits walk around. They could have just made it so recruits stayed on your team until you removed them so you didn’t have to re add them every mission
>Streamlined recruitmentThat’s just a positive spin way of saying ‘simplified a mechanic so that its less difficult for (current year) game reviewers.
>Dojo that actually allows proper level grindingOver levels you. If they changed to the to be less about pokemon stats and moves and more about item uses then this game isn’t rescue team anymore and its might as well not be a pokemon game. Items ruined Super. New Dojo also removed the old boss team battles at the end of a Dojo run which included some fun stuff like 3 wobafett at once and team hydro where you can’t run away and konga line like you can do in a regular dungeon
>Better teammate AIIt is a lot better now
>Different move ranges and mechanics like in SuperSuper did moves better
>Better bosses by virtue of no turn wasting on regular attacksBasic attacks were a viable option in rescue team. its removal its part of how the SOUL of the old games was removed
Automode was added, it selects attacks for you, the camera is closer to the player so you can’t see surroundings as much, new art style doesn’t work with grid based movement without defined edges and points like sprites had. New art style is also the definition of poser soul where it tries to look soulful when it isn’t at all.
The removal of IQ for rare qualities is a good move. IQ was incredibly grindy and took too much time to set up per pokemon and understand.
The changes overall are about handholding to make the game easier.
