Pokemon Silver Beta thread.
Here's what we discovered:
The 100 new pokemon were a mix of ones that got to the final, but some had different designs, but there were a lot of new ones. Notable things include
- Some have type differences (Umbreon isn't a Poison type yet, even though its pokedex data mentions it secrets poison).
- You can see some pokemon don't have their evolutions yet (like Twins for Girafarig or how Qwilfish is still a single stage).
- Some designs are blatant placeholders (Noctowl is JUST a generic owl)

Additionally, we have more story details
- the entirety of Japan wasn't implemented yet-- instead, we only had two areas based on two sections of Japan
- Team Rocket is back with a plant to bring back Giovanni. However, Giovanni never appears, and is not a member of the Elite Four
- On a similar note, Misty is still a gym leader in the Red Blue region (now called Kanto).
- Imposter Professor Oak never appears
- No skateboard item.
- None of the minigames except the slots are implemented
It's so strange to see a world into the Pokemon games we almost got.
