it pissed me off when I was 16 and it pisses me off to this day
the clunky gen IV engine reduces replay value big time
that said, I suppose replay value of FRLG and Emerald is reduced by them restricting access to non-regional Pokémon until postgame which pisses me off, and why I don't think RS is inferior to Emerald because there is no such restriction and you can trade in any Pokémon or any egg from RS at any time, but not FRLG or Emerald, so. I pretty much think S, A and B tier are all equal and interchangeable. There was no real dip in quality until gen VI, then another big dip in VII. VIII is equally bad as VII.
