And you can’t say victreebel couldn’t have had a unique ability since it was gen 1, several gen 1 Pokemon got unique abilities in gen 3, like magneton being able to trap steel mons. No reason victreeebel couldn’t have had something similar then. Or worse, carnivine getting nothing
