the general pop that just had a mon as a friend or casual battling would be fucked though, you have to(assuming you didnt) talk to every npc
ghetsis planned to get iron fisted after, 1) N showed his trainer philosophy is best by capturing a legendary dragon through intent alone, 2) N beats the champion and then the only person N considers a challenge afterwards, 3) news of all these things spread and the most weak willed trainers release their mons so atleast they wont be taken by force, 4) societal pressure for everyone else that is a would be trainer to do the same etc., etc., old trainers literally die off and eventually their mons too
the B/W series was literally babbies first real life experience if only joker came out during those years
