Pokemon that aren't fully evolved or in SwSh didn't get updated. There are exceptions, such as original Farfetch'd/Corsola/Linoone, pikaclones, and rideable Pokemon in Let's Go (rideables had large sprites to denote their rideable status)

Not all of them. A few single stage mons still use their old ones.
And for some reason, Pincurchin has a gen 6/7 style sprite too.

Mew is from the Pokeball Plus thing, Alola Forms were always meant to be in the game since they have pokedex entries.

They only really work for Pokémon that are actually large like Wailord, Gigantamax forms and legendaries. For something small like Raichu it looks horrible.

Regardless of WHY they updated what they did, can we all at least agree that the inconsistency looks terrible? Like, look at Diglett and Dugtrio next to each other. Dugtrio is literally supposed to be three Diglett - why does it dwarf it in size and present completely different proportions?
