The pokemon franchise was pretty decent up until gen V, actually. It obviously was just a line on the graph of meh, gradually decreasing to zero. It was the death of some producer guy that was making sure that the games did not end up total shit that made the franchise what it is today. No longer is it an overhyped game series that has refused to put genuine effort into a new title, it's now exactly that AND an absolute dumpster-fire of shit and feces.
