as many people are speculating, gen 4 remakes are the next logical games for Game Freak to make. However, many aspects of Pokemon are putting a large focus on the Unova region.
Garbador is the only Pokemon that isn't from gen 1 or 8 that gets a gigantamax form (Melmetal is technically Gen 8 since SwooShie is the only main series game where it's available)
Many of the Galar forms are of gen 5 Pokemon
The TCG is bringing back multiple Unova trainer supports in the new sets.
It's just very strange when you look into how much Gen 5 is referenced.
Perhaps a second dlc pack for SwooShie? A linear region like Unova would not be that difficult to make.
