Yeah as others have mentioned the starters still have their Gigantamax forms and Hidden Abilities on the way. It's only natural the Kanto and Alola starters would generate some buzz with HOME just coming out.

Sniper won't be enough to save Inteleon from obscurity unless it gets some serious buffs to its horrendous movepool, Grassy Surge is great for Rillaboom but with Tapu Bulu coming back and getting access to Close Combat and Play Rough it'll be completely outclassed. Cinderace is the only one that'll really benefit and it's already by far the best competitively.

What's the source for this? Your asshole? Inteleon and Cinderace have very high VGC usage, Cinderace is probably the most well-received Final Stage Fire Starter since fucking Blaziken, Both Inteleon and Cinderace get a ton of art to the point that in only 3 months they already have nearly as much art as the Alola Trio has gotten in nearly 4 years, Inteleon is a huge hit everywhere except for America, and even America ended up liking its G-max form enough to make a minor meme off of it. And this is all before we even got the HA's, Gigantamaxes or any sort of animated appearances. Once we get those you can bet your ass this will be the most fondly remembered Trio since Gen IV.

I don't see Bulu having Fake Out, U-turn, Knock Off, or being faster than Dracovish, Heatran and Gyarados in the dump. Play Rough is actually useless, Close Combat is the only real buff that Bulu has over Rilla, but Superpower is good enough.
