The later of whom only get fleshed out when you see them in motion and. Even then they still pretty iffy. You couldn't tell me that Decidueye and Rillaboom are supposed to be archers and drummers respectively just based on the official artwork or idle models. The only grass starters w/ design concepts that actually compliment one another yo make it whole is Chesnaught (despite the mediocre execution) and Torterras.
Not to say the deer doesn't suffer from the "tacked on problem", it certainlg does, but in my opinion that's just the standard fare for Grass starters real or fake.
