high defenses/low hp is technically better for draining moves, but the main thing Dusknoir needs is a reliable physical STAB.

I'd also like for it to have a signature ability (or at least an ability that Dusclops doesn't have) to give more reason to use it. Shadow Tag would be awesome but even something like Guts or Sheer Force would be good to give it more offensive presence.
A ghost version of Lightningrod would be cool and makes thematic sense, too.

No, it needs better utility moves and a better support ability. It's supposed to be a support tank, not a bulky attacker.

It would probably end up being a rare Special contact move like Draining Kiss.

I can see a generic widely available Physical Ghost move involving ectoplasm.

It'd be interesting to see an ability that passively helps the team, even if Dusknoir is in the backrow.
It'd fit thematically, a great big bad helping its underlings from the shadows. Possibly an increase in power to the team's Ghost moves, or increasing the accuracy of certain moves?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a ghost type draining move yet when every dex entry for every ghost mentions they eat life energy. It's so obvious.

They did give the grass type strength sap to a couple ghosts this gen, but not Froslass or Chandelure who consume souls too.
