So the Darkest Day was 3000 years ago. AZ used Ultimate weapon 3000 years ago aswell. As we know Eternatus came to Earth 20.000 years ago but i've been wondering what caused Eternatus to go berserk 3000 years ago? Maybe it was the Ultimate weapon since Kalos is nearby (which was confirmed by that swimmer npc on route 9)?

Its also weird how Eternatus is the tallest/biggest known Pokemon while AZ is the tallest known human.

Also whats with GF and 3000 years?

All we know is that some shit happened 3000 years ago. It could have been a World War or could have been one of those Dimensional Wars and the technology got wiped the fuck out. USUM and put the idea that there's a 2nd dimension with an Alola that got fucked by Guzzlord. Some worlds got no Megas, as implied in ORAS. Some words did get Megas. Some got Dynamax. It's possible the GB-DS era was their own universe. The 3DS is another universe (with megas) and Sw/Sh is a 3rd universe (with dynamax). Each Ultra Beast world could have been another dimension that didn't survive and Ultra Beasts are Pokemon that evolved or mutated into them. It's a shame they're pulling a Zelda and never connecting anything.

The dials of crystal, the ultimate weapons, z-crystals and Eternatus. There is a heavy crystal theme. I would honestly believe if Eternatus wasn't at 100%. It looks to much like an exposed skeleton that there has to be a main body.

I imagine there was some kind of cosmic event in ultra space 3000 years ago which is what shattered the multiverse into all these parallel realities.
That's why Sword and Shield exist in a parallel universe where Mega Evolution and Z-Moves never happened

Maybe AZ somehow fucked up Eternatus in some way (possibly in a worse way than Rose did). We dont even know how he build the such weapon. It used the life energy of Pokemon to work but it had to be something special behind it aswell.

There was actually a consistent timeline relatively speaking, until ORAS. Once they tried actually calling into multiverse it all became messed up.

Eternatus was laying dormant. Considering Dynamax is both Mega and Z-Moves, it could be that Eternatus was fractured. Part of it's body being put into the Ultimate Weapon, taking the Dynamax aspect to a more dedicated "Mega" evolution. Other chunks of Eternatus could have turned into Pokemon, the light trio being one and thanks to Necrzoma being part of Eternatus, the other half was Z-Moves. Z-Moves don't alter Pokemon, but are similar to Dynamax moves. Mega alter Pokemon, but don't have super powered moves. Dynamaxing seems to be weaker but "best of both worlds" deal.

They're not in the game because they don't want that taking the attention away from the shiny new thing. I don't know if you noticed that Mystery Dungeon is going to use Megas and LGPE actually made them easier to use for fags playing GO. Even in Masters they actually had Cynthia's Garchomp be capable of Mega evolving, so it's not like they're throwing them away. Z Moves seem to be another matter altogether.

Especially if the darkest day was such a huge event it shifted the sword and shield universe’s mutliversal axis off such that the deoxys meteor that Rayquaza ate to invent mega evolution never even approached The sword and shield earth and it’s ultra coordinates were shifted such that necrozma never approached to shower it with z energy

I'd be curious how Arceus and Eternatus would interact. It's implied Arecus created everything, but I wonder how possible it would be that Eternatus was "before" Arceus, or a twisted version of Arceus.

It's unironically Ohmori's fault. In every single one of his games he either brings up something from 3,000 years ago, or some kind of fairy flower cannon. Doesn't help that Magearna's kingdom has the same name as Aqua/Magma's plan to break Rayquaza's seal with AZ's technology, or how the Kalos war happened at the exact same time as Eternatus's awakening and Melmetal's death.

Ohmori was in charge of the writing for ORAS, SM, and now SWSH. It's explicitly him making all these vague connections. Like amnesiac Looker on the beach in ORAS leading to the UBs in SM.

The 3000 years thing actually started with Masuda though. He introduced the AZ thing and he directed Let's GO which introduced Meltan and Melmetal. Ohmori was the one that started trying to work with Multiverse which was where the mess started.

It's more that Megas are more of a staple so you can't say we're in universes where they don't exist. In this case it's only because of game limitation even though datamined stuff shows that they're still in the programming.

Some new toys coming out are also mega Pokemon, to boot.

That's true, but remember what kind of guy Masuda is and what kind of stories he likes to tell. Black/White was his baby after all. The whole ultimate weapon thing and the immortality was basically window dressing for AZ's relationship with his Floette, and was likely intended to be something standalone in the grand scheme of things.

Ohmori's the guy who took that plot point and ran it into the ground. Making all these retcons that Steven's family and Archie and Maxie captured and abused Pokemon for life energy, that the weapon might have created Deoxys, that AZ prophetically predicted Megafug, Dock the one-off NPC was on a WWII-esque facility experimenting with this stuff, mega evolution is a parallel universe and Anabel and Looker have amnesia from the first one, etc etc.

Ohmori is multiverse but seeing how that didn't seem to pan out properly he's trying to ride Masuda's stuff. If TPC is really going with mobage as the main source then Kalos is coming up soon, so there's that.

Basically, Masuda was more consistent with the one-offs that would tie to stuff later while Ohmori just ran it straight to the ground while messing everything else up. It doesn't help that the DLC coming is being directed by someone else and they're throwing more X/Y references with the Regis.

I liked all the added ORAS background lore. It’s not even intrusive either since you can easily miss all the Sea Mauville stuff. It was a good choice to try to flesh out a bit character like Cozmo, though. And it sets up the post game plot.

Since dp remakes are next I wonder if we'll finally get some answers since there'd be no better time to talk about arceus than during gen 4 remakes. My own theory is that they're gonna reveal mt Cornett was sitting on top of a huge power spot the entire time and the red chains will be connected to dynamaxing
