How do you name your player characters? Do you go for the official names, or is that too impersonal? Do you self-insert? If so, how do you reconcile that with playing through multiple appearances, in different places with different mothers and backstories?

Perhaps the question then, is do you view the pokemon games as one big adventure - or just various lesser stories in different times and places?
