I don't think. Fairy types most of the time represents deceiving creatures, just look at grimmsnarl and hatterenee, or even mawile, they're the best example for this.
I don't get why Gardevoir is part-fairy seriously.

I don't agree. I think the fairy type is more about the strange and hard to understand. I think a more general category better fits a lot of the fairy type pokemon. Gardevoir fits into the fairy type because it is a strange and otherworldly creature.

They are similar, but there are differences. Psychic has a strong connection to space, intelligence, mental powers, while fairy seems to be more connected to emotion and nature. The fairy type is not nearly as thematically developed as the psychic type is, which is a bit frustrating for a fan of what little they have done.
