Yeah, but those take actual athletic skill to accomplish; Pokémon is still just a toy made so the dumbest kids can feel accomplished. I think its just important to remember how the majority of the world sees us and how little this shit really matters

Even if the players have the athletic skill to kick a ball around really good that doesn’t mean the hundreds of millions of people who watch are any good at the sport in any way.

I'm not saying which is correct. The fact I'm on here means I like Pokémon. However, the sports fans make up the majority of the population and are socially accepted. The fact that they see us as obsessing over something like Teletubbies still remains, and they can argue that at the very least they're watching athletes performing at the very best of what humans are capable of while we're playing with fictional toys
