Sound being a type is retarded. It specifically exists to be a secondary property of existing moves and adds a layer of effects to those moves. This concept -specifically- works because Sound is a property and not its own type. Sound type is as stupid as "Contact" type.

Punk Rock even set the standard for pseudo-STAB on Sound moves; an idea that has been posted on this very board for years.

And lastly, the nail in the coffin: Sound as a mechanic is inherently more interesting than it would be as a type, specifically because a Sound move can have a separate elemental property. Moves like Clanging Scales, Overdrive, Hyper Voice plus an -ate ability, are all made more interesting because of the Sound mechanic.

Sound type's ship has sailed. I once entertained the idea of maybe rebranding with Music or Bard type, but now that seems beyond our reach as well after Toxtricity. Our best bet is to make up weird vague types or ones that fall under a kind of "species" category like Bug, Ghost, Dragon, and Fairy.

steel isn't necessarily tech. well it is but in this context it means high-tech and digital things. bronzong stays steel because it doesn't have mechanical parts or anything like that.

No because Ice as a category represents cold temperatures and climates. An ocean isn't the same as a glacier, a lake isn't a tundra. Same with Ground and Rock; a desert isn't a mountain, a boulder isn't quicksand.

Weak to Normal, which resists it. The mons of this Type are not themed around corruption and violence as is sometimes meant by 'chaos' in fiction, but rather abnormality/wackiness/insanity/absurdity/nonsensicality and erratic behavior. Like that 'drunken kung-fu' type of fighting technique or old cartoons where an anvil might fall on you.

Chaotic Types are immune to confusion and their moves are prone to causing it. (Teeter Dance, Dizzy Punch.)

Thats an overstatement. Clefairy line, Granbull line, Togepi line, thats it. And two of those lines are literally the Fairy Pokemon. 'Chaotic' isn't an element or a type of creature, its a personality.

But by definition Chaotic is a lack of a consistent style, your basically saying 'lol so random ecks dee' is a combat style. If your arguing that what is consistent is a lack of consistency, then you really need to re-analyze what your idea is trying to accomplish.
