Just started trying to do a second playthrough and so far, pretty bad

The spectacle of the gym matches is the best part of the game’s main story and once you’re used to those and they don’t make an impact anymore, the main story offers very little.

Actually awful. I've been trying since December to replay through it but after 20 minutes I'm bored. I at least got through S/M a few times and a million times through USUM with the help of randomizers.

Why would you ever replay a Pokemon game? They've never been designed with replayability in mind.

They're replayable in the sense that there are a lot of things you can keep doing after the credits. But yes the people who actually try to literally replay the campaign are retards.

It's a JPRG in which your party never has to be the same. Of course there's replayability there.

Why wouldn't you? It's fun to go through the region again with Pokemon you've never though about using before. Pokemon games are quite replayable actually.

I never found that to be an issue because I use different mons in each playthrough to make plathroughs different

Replayability and linearity have nothing to do with each other.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Pokemon's "replayability" comes from the stuff you can do after the credits. The main game though is not meant to be replayed.

Just like gen 6 and up, the amount of cutscene dialog is too much of a slog to waddle through, let alone on a second playthrough.

A skip or fast-foward button for all character interactions is desperately needed, not just one that enables the player to skip select cinematics.

Is adding a "skip cutscene" feature too much for GF to handle?

I've been playing Megaman Zero 3 and you can press START to skip every piece of dialogue in the game, and that game was released back in 2004.

Team composition size is the same as XY & SM if you use only the regional dex. Still lots of cutscenes with even less exploring outside the wilds.

Actually they can. Take one path one playthrough, then do another one the next. Even open world games have it due to being able to go anywhere in any order.

The first play-through had bad repeatability.

There's only so much back to back gym leader battles and linear progression I can take. Especially the elite 4, Recycled characters over and over and over.
