The reverb does indeed sound like a mega evolution, but most likely it's a galarian evo.
They all have cries that are just edits of their prevo's cries.

Reminder that Jynx was on a list of trademarked names that surfaced along the release of XY, and was the only one of the Pokemon on that list that didn't get a mega.

I remember this because in the week leading up to XY's release, people used that list to figure out what Megas there would be and had the leakers look for them.

Mr. Mime got a prevo in gen 4 with Sudowoodo, which both evolved the same way. Mr. Mime and Sudowoodo were counterparts.

Jynx is disgustingly good in FRLG. Ice punch + psychic mows down the game, and you get even better exp because it's a trade.

That's where you're wrong. TPC controls the deadlines of games and the anime to match up with one another for merch sales. Ishihara himself stated that every Pokemon is like an "actor" and TPC is the equivalent of an agency, rotating out Pokemon in the games base on what merchandise they want them in.

If Ishihara wants megas back in the core games, Masuda and everyone else will have to dance for him. This is also why we get rushed yearly releases instead of good games now- because GF has to bend to TPC's money machine.

Read the articles, if you're going to cry about DLC - they said they'd never do DLC that sold individual pokémon to you (in fact, said something along the lines of providing something tangible and equal in value to the price of the pokémon's individual sales price, if doing so). They never ONCE said they wouldn't do DLC ever, just that at the time (Gen VI's release) they didn't see it as part of their plans (as it was easier to sell a full title for $40 than DLC for whatever price they thought). Cry harder bitchtits, educate yourself maybe, instead of licking your information off the ground of this shithole.

In fact, In Gen 1’s beta Electabuzz & Magmar ID’s were added in together while Jynx and Mr Mime came close to the end

Both Jynx & Mime mimic humans. One with movements, and one with speech.

Both dual psychic type.

"Mr.Mime" is it's localized named. It was never supposed to be an exclusively male Pokemon. Jynx, Magmar, and Electabuzz are actually considered to be a trio of Pokemon, though (fire, ice, electric). And the original versions of all three were based on Ultraman enemies.

Jynx's entire existence is a wild fucking ride.

The 2 Oni’s have nothing to do with the 2 human shape counterparts idc what level up moves they got. It comes down to ID’s and Lore. As well as TPC’s distributions.

You make it sound like it still counts, Heracross is a counterpart to Pinsir and it came out later, but since that one is too easy, Shiinotic is a counterpart to Parasect and it came 6 gens later.
Now that Mr. Mime has gained a dual typing, it can now stand as a counterpart to Jynx, and since Galarian Mr. Mime is the same typing as Kantonian Jynx, Galarian Jynx might be Psychic/Fairy, but we'll just have to see for sure.

Not Jynx related but Galarian Form related but I think I just figured out the Galarian Bird Trio: The original ones are connected to in-game weather (Hail, Rain, Sun) while these new ones are three of the four terrains. Articuno looks Psychic, Zapdos Electric (running to stay connected to the current), Moltres Fairy.

It hit me when I saw the birds get weather ball.

As the person points out, Jynx and (at the time) Latios/Latias did not have megas, but the trademark was renewed. Obviously it didn't include stuff for other Pokemon that also had megas, but every one of them eventually did have mega versions.

Except for Jynx.

Mega Jynx probably got scrapped at some point and they just left the audio files in the game/while working on Home. They've done this shit before...hell some of the data for Gen 3 items are still in the game i bet.

Didn't get matching support to either and neither do many who start out seeming to be counterparts like Shuppet/Duskull or how version exclusives don't have symmetry despite being the most literal example of counterparts like Ekans/Sandshrew.
