Tried sword and shield, it was beautiful, but the difficulty was awful. It more or less felt impossible to lose unless I actively gimped myself and that's not any fun.
I have fond childhood memories of barely making it out of Mt. Moon with only 1 poke left alive and in the red after multiple tries and I don't see anything like that ever happening here. I beat one of those mega raids or whatever with a fucking magikarp that only knew splash as my AI teammates carried the entire fight. I finally fainted from fighting pokes 20 lvls higher then my team and immediately the healer NPC offered to teleport me past this zone to the next town so I could get on with the story. That made me throw in the towel.
Are there any good modern poke games that have a similar difficulty to the original games but also with better graphics?
I've only played the first 3 and now sword/shield.
