According to the HOME datamine he gets body press, coming off a 211 defence stat. Hm, ok.

Nuke shit with body press, rack up defence boosts with Beast Boost, holy shit.

Maybe a lefties set and just invest in SPD?

true, but steelix is faster, has worse special D, weaker defence, doesnt have beast boost and has shitty attack so it's other moves are garbage outside of body press.

Its the beast boost that makes me feel like staka is going to be good

It looks decent to good indeed.
In singles, I think that you really need Trick Room to snowball (Its weaknesses are really easy to exploit) so AV shouldn't be used.
Full attack and HP. Even with the Lonely set, Body Press should be strong enough with such a high defense.

Body Press is such an overrated move.
