Hitmonchan and Crabominable are the only ones with any sort of boxing techniques. The rest just punches things really hard.

I know it has something to do with the markings on its head but I don't know what they're called.
Zeraora just punches things with electricity, a bad justification for the fighting type.

Nah it's just because Dark-type didn't exist in Gen 1, so since it's strong and bipedal Fighting was the next best fit.
