11 - Once again, not the only gen with this problem. It is, in fact, true, but saying gen 5 is bad because of it means you're purposely lowering the effect of those flaws in other games to serve your point, which is highly hypocritical.
12 - litteraly no one cares about that. First because the path is not lineart, second because the roads/towns are actually different enoug to grant a feeling of travel and variety.
