Palkia is lame entirely because they gave it that stupid looking Freeza color scheme. If they actually incorporated space into its design it would have been GOAT

Their counterparts look better because they have more interesting bases for their design, and generally look more natural.

Imo it's just because they dropped the pearl motif on it for some reason and used it as an excuse to have legendary with as little weaknesses as possible.

i dont know if its headcanon shit but apparently palkia represents the liquid state of water, dialga the solid state and giratina the gas state. also, palkia supposedly represents space and the "flow" of it (in space you move similar to when you're on water, etc etc) and ah he's also made of pearls
