i played the game and completely forgot about it to the point where i asked in a thread if it was worth playing only to find my cartridge and save file a few weeks later

I regret buying it. Was a slog to get through and I wasn't having fun so I dropped it. Apparently it's one of those "dude it gets good 10 hours in" games but I just went back and started a new file in Sky instead.

As for OP's point, I'd like to get it as I'm one of the only people on earth who prefers BRT to Sky but I'd much rather have Animal Crossing. Will probably pick it up sometime later.

It plays better.
Wider move variety in terms of range. Wider level up movepools in general coming from the mainline games.
Smarter partners. Smarter enemies even and stronger too.
Encourages, and sometimes outright forces, experimentation with random Pokemon. No more level and IQ grinding that pretty much discourages the use of anything besides your starter.
Gigantic Pokemon are a fun idea.
Only downside for me was having to rely on RNG to give you good emeras. DX's Rare Skills are looking to be a stark improvement.

Ain't a big part of that down to the fact the DS sold a lot more systems than 3DS? Like if you look at the absolutely top selling games for the systems you see the same thing, 30 million copies of New Super Mario Bros vs 18 million copies of Mario Kart 7.

It didn't flop. It sold a million copies. 3DS software sales were just not enough and people thought it was too hard. RTDX should hopefully see an increase given how well Switch software sales are doing.

The only reasons I'm not buying it soon is, aside from AC coming out, it doesn't look like this game does enough for me to spend $60 to play a remake of a game I already own and am perfectly fine with. Only adding cross-gen evolution to Gen 1-3 Pokemon just isn't enough.

I am just sick and tired of the 3D style for the PMD games. Makes everything lose a lot of its original soul if it's not a 2D grid with 2D art.

I love PMD, but I never bought Infinity and I regretted buying Super. The game just doesn't feel right and you could play as extremely high leveled pokemon from a very early point, and had items basically win all of the encounters for you, not to mention the team-combo bullshit or whatever it was. I lost interest quickly and didn't even finish the Mew section of the story.

Just give us something similar to Sky already, holy fuck.
