Should I just give up on this franchise? Not even trolling I'm legit being serious. Every time there's a new generation announced I get a little hopeful that things will get better but much to my dismay nothing really changes. For example I thought that with Sword and Shield being Switch titles that we'd get a fair share of content along with some nice smooth graphics and... well yeah we all know how that turned out. I haven't been excited for a set of games since Gen 5. Did the transition to 3D really fuck everything up? Should I just say fuck it and step away or just wait another generation to see if they get their shit together? I really don't want to keep investing my time towards something that isn't worth investing my time in anymore.
