>>42843422>3, 4, 7, and 10 are absolutely unique to unova.Disagree on 7. There are plenty of extremely powerful newer Pokemon. Toxapex, Hawlucha, and all of Gen 7's legendaries just to name an example. If anything its at least admirable that they tried to make most of the new Pokemon usable. Everything else is fair, though a bit nitpicky.
>2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 19 started in unovaThe simpler designs definitely started with Gen 4 rather than Gen 5. Its only considered more prevalent with 5 due to the larger dex.
6 is also fair, though having no stakes in the plot was in 1 and 2 as well. The only reason Team Rocket got taken down is because they went out of their way to block gyms.
Broken abilities absolutely didn't start with Gen 5. Huge/Pure Power, Speed Boost, and even the fucking weather abilities were all around prior, and Multiscale isn't even that crazy though, so I'm not sure why it was mentioned.. Scald is powerful for sure, but I still wouldn't really call it proof of Gen 5 adding too much overpowered shit.
The region being shaped like a circle doesn't really say anything about the actual design, and just feels like a nitpick more than anything, though I will still agree the shape is a lot more bland than earlier gens. The routes for example were a lot better made than the ones from previous gens. BW2 got rid of the circle progression anyways.
Everything else is fair, though Johto did suffer from a similar issue of low gym leader difficulty prior to Kanto
>13 is subjective but frlg, emerald, dppt, and hgss before it had more engaging postgames IMO.I agree the postgame isn't too strong, but its definitely not worse than Ruby and Sapphire's literal nothing. For a first version in a gen, its at least pretty solid.
>18Past the first gym you get access to plenty of Pokemon that are decent enough. Before that its definitely the worst selection though.
Even with whats left over, it definitely doesn't feel like enough to warrant the anger.
