BW sold decently as well but Game Freak still learned from their mistakes going forward. We may still see temporary cuts on new releases, but I can imagine they will probably be more prepared to handle the fallout.

Keep pushing the disinformation button, it's clear they were under NDA and like ALL companies working under NDA are required to NOT let any details of their actions be known. The issues identified by Game Freak (namely the handling of their ever-growing roster) still exist and that they're only adding another 200 with the free update with the DLC's, before presumably moving onto their next new release still leaves the new studio policy active and their works complying with them.

I've been out of the loop for a while, but has there been a main series pokemon game since Gen 2 that actually had every pokemon in any meaningful sense?
Not like RSFrLg where you have to buy four games and trade a whole dex's worth of mons back and forth, not like SM where you have to transfer anything not in the regional dex from a previous gen if you want them at all, but just a pair of games where, between the two of them, you could catch them all (except for event legendaries)?
