The only downside of the DLC is that base SWSH will remain unpolished and half assed for eternity. The plot will always be retarded, the graphic performance will always be shit and the level design will always be nonexistent

The DLC could theoretically give further context to characters actions or add content that could be experienced during the main game just as much as in the post-game

Not saying it will, but there are absolutely DLCs designed like that.
