Not a rom hack. Fangames, by nature, have more freedom with what they're able to add to a game. That's what makes a bad rom hack truly spectacular. Because most of them are already bad so you REALLY have to suck ass for your rom hack to be one of the worst

I'm enjoying mega power a tiny bit so far, but it's getting bad. The level curve is flying through the roof, and the repeat battle houses are nice, but I don't think they're going to be enough to get me to the right level, especially since they're all one EV for some reason.

The worst for me is a tie between a myriad of hacks with bad fakemon and edgy stories that aren't worth remebering by themsevles, so I group them together, and empty emerald, which is just emerald but devoid of everything (NPCs, mons, items) so you can just walk from littleroot to the elite 4 and end the game. You'd think it was made as a blank template, but no, it's meant to be a game.

I downloaded it thinking it'd be something like the lavender town hack but it is literally what it says, emerald but completely empty. To the point the map is modified to let you walk from the initial town to the elite 4 island because otherwise it's impossible to use HMs or the bike.

Oh and speaking of I also just remembered another stupidly awful thing I played once, pokemon Daia. It's an edit of pokemon gaia, but the name of every pokemon, trainer, item and move has been edited to start with the leter D, for some fucking reason.

I found the hack on a flash drive that i hadn't touched since like 2009. Loaded it up and started using walk through walls and infinite rare candies just to see the rest of the garbage.

Flora Sky. It's actually kind of nice and the region is gorgeous, but they fucking removed moves from pokemon to give them to others. Venusaur lost its powders and Nidoking can't learn any of the elemental TMs, but the charizard line got new, exclusive moves. My mons were so fucking gimped and I was so mad that I had raised them all 35 or so levels and now they were gimped because the shitty maker had to give charizard and the eeveeloutions MORE EPIC COOL MOVES. Find some more space for the learnsets you hack

There's an English version. It's pretty decent. I like the fakemons, and the maps and music are really well done. But the difficulty and level curves ruin it. The actual story is a bit all over the place, and the humor made me want to die at times. But I will stress, the good points of it are really good.
Apparently Vega Minus lessens the difficulty, but I haven't played it.
