Why is the abreviation PM? is the new anime "Pokemon Masters" or is called just "Pocket Monsters"?

Also what's the deal with it? last ep I watched was the pikachu origin story one, and I've heard all sorts of crazy shit ever since, like ash getting a stantler and team rocket getting a wailord. I thought the point of the anime was to advertise the new gen mons.

Seriously. It's like the writers themselves don't know what to do in the next episode so they just randomly pick a region and a plot and mix it to create an episode. You'd expect the first few episodes of the series would try to introduce the cast and setting well and familiarize the audience with it and then move on to the region hopping mumbo jumbo, but nope. It's like, one episode is normally going on and suddenly in the next they're invited to Cynthia's tea party in Sinnoh, then next episode is normal, and again they go to another region for some absurd region and back and forth. It all feels so jarring

The anime's premise right now is to show off all the regions, since the last one was so barren that they couldn't actually do much with it. So far for Galar they introduced dyna-/ gigantimax and Ash joining up in the league. Everything else is following Galar's GO antics.

Nah it has so far a very garbage start. Every episode feels extremely trivial, even the important ones where Ash goes to fight Leon but apparently that's no big deal since in the next he's back at the lab helping Gou play PoGo.
