Most of those giveaways you see on twitter, here, or wherever, are cloned and not just sets of breedjects (a legendary giveaway is a red flag so avoid those). Nonetheless, it is cheating and those who try to justify it are in denial or just plain lazy. End of discussion on that.
I’m still suspicious as to how Pokémon like the Solgaleo I got in a room trade a few days was able to sneak in. I released it alongside the shiny 6 IV Level 100 Accelgor I got earlier today.
Any Pokémon you upload to Home will have a tracker placed on it to prevent cloning it. I’m sure this tracker will spill over into Sword and Shield in time once the bugs are worked out.
This includes taking a Nincada out of Pokémon Home, evolving it into Ninjask, gaining a Shedinja from that then placing it all back into Home. Your Shedinja will disappear. Why? Because technically it’s cloned even if it’s legit. I’m sure that issue will be patched. Currently, if you evolve Nincada and do the evolution and get a Shedinja before uploading it to Pokémon Home, your ninjask and Shedinja will be safe as they’ll have different trackers. Something for people to be aware of if they decide to cheat. (Gamefreak’s got eyes now)
